WRITTEN ON JULY 30, 2022 FROM BEDFORD HILLS CORRECTIONAL FACILITY
I am the facilitator for the N.O.I. and basically the Sister teacher being that we have no Chaplain and haven’t had one for almost five year’s. So, being that I only have access to the Masjid once a week for religious service | got permission from Dep E. Miller to use the N.O.1. typewriter on my unit and he had an officer to bring it to my unit and I got permission to take my personal one to the Masjid since my cell is too small to have the two big ones in my cell.
As it turns out, Dep Miller waited for about 2 weeks and sent an C.O. C. Jackson to search and confiscate the typewriter from my cell and mine from the Masjid. I was written up for stealing, unauthorized exchange, smuggling, and one more charge which I can’t remember.
And, Muslims all over the world have a religious service called Jum’mah every Friday, and because they know how serious I am about my sincere-held religious belief. Dep Harris made me leave my religious service last Friday to start the disciplinary hearing, and called me this Friday and made me stay so I could miss my religious service.
I was found guilty after not being allowed to call five witnesses including Miller, and given 90 day’s loss of personal property, and 90 day’s loss of commissary and packages although I am brittle diabetic.
I don’t even think thats legal. Out of time, and to be continued….
