Reverend Joy Powell’s Support Team is asking for the public’s assistance we have been informed that the facility were Political Prisoner Rev. Joy Powell is housed along with numerous other residents have been placed on 23 hour-lockdown confinement without warranted justification or consideration taken into account for medical needs, like for diabetics in need of frequent testing, insulin injections and other serious medical treatment requirements. Access to food, showers, recreation, the law library, and other vital necessities after receiving reports that Rev. Joy Powell collapsed she was not given immediate medical attention until other incarcerated residents caused a disturbance that compelled staff on duty too act. Rev. Joy Powell was rushed to medical where her blood pressure was elevated when checked it was approximately around 173/83.
What Is Needed:
Calls of inquiry to Superintendent Eileen Russell about the medical well-being of Rev. Joy, and the point of the 23 hour lockdown at Bedford Hills C.F. because of events that occurred at other state prisons and not former mentioned facility.
