Candle Light Vigil Showing Love and Solidarity for Our People Behind the Wall
The Peoples Senate in collaboration with the Reverend Joy Powell freedom Campaign and How Our Lives Link All-together (HOLLA) is calling on movement activists in and around New York City to converge for a candlelight vigil at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility, in Bedford Hills, NY on Saturday, June 14, from 3 to 5 pm.
Since October 2024 the Reverend Joy Powell Defense Committee and HOLLA have held periodic vigils outside the prison, each one attended by dozens of committed activists. In order to focus attention on what is going on at Bedford Hills we are hoping to generate a participation that will number in the hundreds this time. We believe that such an action could make a tangible difference in the lives of the women and trans community incarcerated in the prison. Please join us in this effort.
